Lopetegui extends his contract with Sevilla
Sevilla's Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui has extended his contract with the club until 2024.

’s nightmarish years are over and now he is experiencing good times at
Sevilla. It was on the eve of the 2018 World Cup that Lopetegui's agreement with
Real Madridangered the Spanish Football Federation and they sacked the Spanish coach.
His time at Real Madrid was short, with a five-goal defeat to
Barcelonain El Clasico marking the end of his days at the club.
But he was reborn on the
Sevilla
bench and now the club has announced the extension of Julen Lopetegui's contract until 2024.
He recently reached a record of 100 points with Sevilla after the team’s victory over
Sociedad
, and it was only a few months ago that Lopetegui's side beat
Interin the final to become the Europa League champion.
Unlike previous seasons, Sevilla have reached the knockout stages of the
Champions League
this season and will soon face
Dortmund.
Sevilla are currently standing sixth in La Liga table.
