Al-Ittihad Jeddah’s management continues its ongoing pursuit to contract with a new coach to lead the team during the upcoming season, as a replacement for Argentine Marcelo Gallardo.
Gallardo’s departure has become a matter of time, after reaching an agreement with the administration to separate after a few months of taking responsibility, as a successor to Portuguese Nuno Santo.
Italian journalist Rudy Galetti confirmed via his official Twitter account that Al-Ittihad Jeddah is currently working on finding a replacement for Gallardo, and one of the coaches nominated at this time is Italian Massimiliano Allegri.
In recent days, Juventus announced the dismissal of Allegri after his victory in the Italian Cup at the expense of Atalanta with a goal without a response.
The transfer expert explained in the same tweet that Jose Mourinho is also among the nominated names, but he is also being followed by Turkish clubs.
It is expected that Al-Ittihad Jeddah’s administration will soon resolve the file of the new technical director, in addition to contracting with a number of prominent names with the aim of returning to the podiums.
