The future footballer was born on April 7th, 1986, in France. He spent his childhood in the small town of Boulogne-sur-Mer, in the northwestern province of Cézanne and Parmesan.

Ribéry's family lived on the outskirts of this small town, in a bad community. Unfortunately, no information on Franck's parents exists. His dad employed at the nearby pipeline laying firm.

A horrific incident occurred to him when the boy was two years old, which predetermined his eventual fate. It was an average day, it appeared. Franck had, however, had a traffic collision with his parents: by the fatal coincidence of the situation, their car smashed into the truck.

It should be remembered that this tragedy left not only marks in the brain of Ribéry but also on his forehead. He has a scar on his face: Franck smashed his head against the windshield at the time of the car accident.

The man is of the view that this incident gave him strength and bravery. Franck began to work hard to reach his target instead of giving up, without paying heed to his injury.

This tragedy inspired the man to obtain the desired results when Ribéry was within an inch of his life. It is striking that Ribéry has recommendations for cosmetic surgery on his lip, but he declined. Not to talk without justification, that the scars look good on a man.

Franck Ribéry is an international footballer from France who plays in the

Known for his passing energy, pace, and accuracy, he plays on the left side as a winger. He is also a superb dribbler who "has great control with the ball at his feet".

Style of play

Ribéry plays mostly as a winger and is described as a player who is "quick, clever, and a great dribbler who has great control with the ball at his feet"While being mainly right-footed and used in France during his development years as a right-sided midfielder, Ribéry has publicly admitted that his inclination is to play on the left-wing, even going so far as to say, "My place is on the left" when questioned at a media session in February 2010 while on international duty, after establishing himself as an international and at Bayern Munich.

While he is often played domestically on the left-wing, owing to the emergence of left-footed dominant players such as Florent Malouda, Ribéry has failed to establish himself as a left-winger with France at the international level.

François and Steeven, Ribéry's younger siblings, are also football stars. In France, François played for several amateur teams, including Bayonne in the Championnat National.

Sales of match-worn shirts have raised over 30,000 Euros for charity from the latest Klassiker meeting between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

A total of 30.960 Euros was earned from the 36 match jerseys used by each player included in the squad for the Matchday 28 encounter at the Allianz Arena.

The total was donated to the Deutsche Sporthilfe (German Sports Assistance Foundation), which funds about 4,000 young and elite athletes in as many as 50 disciplines.

Bayern stars Franck Ribery and James Rodriguez, whose shirts went for 3,525 and 3,050 euros respectively, became the highest-selling jerseys.

Legal issues

On 18 April 2010, French television service M6 first announced that four members of the French national team were being investigated for their roles as clients of a sex racket running inside a nightclub in Paris, with some of the women reportedly being underage.

The article also claimed that judge André Dando and a jury of magistrates had already interviewed two of the players as witnesses. The study described the two players as one who "is a major player in a big foreign club" and the other "plays in the championship of France Ligue 1" The players were found later that day to be Ribéry and Sidney Govou.

During his interview with Dando, Ribéry reportedly admitted to having a relationship with a prostitute but did not know that she was a minor at the time relationship started. 

On 29 April 2010, after a failure to publicly comment on the case in its infancy, the country's Secretary of State for Sports, Rama Yade, announced that any player put under scrutiny did not represent the national team of France.

The next day, a judiciary source stated that, if at all, before the start of the 2010 World Cup, Ribéry will not be put under official scrutiny.

Ribéry was questioned by the Paris police on 20 July and, after interrogation, Judge Dando was arrested on the charge of 'requesting a minor prostitute.

'In November 2011, prosecutors called for the charges against Ribéry and Benzema to be dismissed, saying that the players were not informed that when they paid to have sex with her, the prostitute, known as Zahia Dehar, was 16 years old.

Ribéry started his football career at the age of six, playing in the youth division of the FC Conti de Boulogne-sur-Mer amateur team. He joined the professional outfit Lille, who were competing in the second division, following a seven-year stay, in 1996.

Ribéry excelled athletically while at Lille but encountered academic and behavioral difficulties, which caused him to be released by Lille.

In 2012, during a press conference ahead of Bayern Munich's Champions League tie against his former club Lille, Ribéry explained that he was released after sustaining a fractured elbow from the Lille Academy and that Lille officials had initially tried to cut him from the academy for being too thin.

Ribéry was brought in by manager Gheorghe Hagi at Galatasaray and played in 14 league matches as the team finished in the third position.

Marseille

On 15 June 2005, Ribéry revealed that, under a five-year deal, he will return to France to join Ligue 1 team Marseille, plus to reunite with former boss Jean Fernandez.

Since Ribéry had three years left on his contract after the club paid Metz EUR 2 million on 30 March to make the loan move permanent, the movie was deemed unexpected for Galatasaray.

Ribéry argued that the club had not paid his salary and begged FIFA, the governing body of the sport, to invalidate his contract. He also stated that at one point during the season, his former agent and the Galatasaray director had assaulted him with a baseball bat. 

Galatasaray officials and manager Eric Gerets blasted the player for betraying the club a day after confirming his transfer, and also declared their plan to ask FIFA to investigate the case.

Bayern Munich

On 7 June 2007, the German club Bayern Munich announced that an agreement had been concluded with Marseille for the sale of Ribéry, with the player committing to a four-year contract and Bayern paying €25 million to Marseille for the then club record.

The number 7 shirt was issued to Ribéry, who was released at the end of the previous season due to the retirement of midfielder Mehmet Scholl.

On 5 May 2019, Bayern Munich announced that at the end of the season, with a testimonial match scheduled for 2020, Ribéry will leave the club.

Ribéry captured his ninth Bundesliga title with Bayern on 18 May 2019. Ribéry became the Bundesliga's all-time record champion with his ninth Bundesliga title.

Ribéry won his sixth DFB-Pokal on 25 May 2019 when Bayern beat RB Leipzig 3–0 in the 2019 DFB-Pokal Final. In the 87th minute, Ribéry came on as a substitute and made history as this was his 8th final appearance in the DFB-Pokal.

In as many DFB-Pokal finals, no other player has participated. With a club-record 24 titles, Ribéry finished his career at Bayern.

Fiorentina

In August 2019, on a free transfer, Ribéry signed with Italian side Fiorentina. On 24 August, he made his debut for the club, coming on in the opening game of the 2019-20 Serie A season as a late replacement in a 4-3 home defeat to Napoli.

In a 2–2 away draw against Atalanta on 22 September, he scored his first goal for the club. In October 2019, after forcing a match official, he issued a three-match suspension.

International career

Ribéry was still present before representing the senior side, with the France under-21 squad winning its first pick on 3 September 2004 in a 1-0 victory over Israel in the 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.

In a 1–0 friendly victory over Slovakia, Ribéry scored his first under-21 goal five days later. On 15 November 2005, during the qualification playoffs, he scored a crucial goal against England as France beat them 3-2 on aggregate to progress to the finals. 

However, despite winning inclusion for coach Raymond Domenech's pre-World Cup team, Ribéry skipped the tournament. Ribéry made 13 appearances in total for the under-21s, adding two goals.

For the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Ribéry was named in France's roster, but on 6 June, coach Didier Deschamps announced he will miss the tournament due to injury.
