Al Hilal overcomes Al Fath and maintains leadership!

An exciting football adventure in the Saudi League that is unforgettable and carries surprises!

On this Friday evening, Al Hilal was able to overcome the challenges of its sudden exit from the Asian Champions League with an important victory over its guest Al Fath with a score of 3-1, after it was trailing by one goal to nothing in the match that was held on the “Kingdom Arena” stadium. This result comes within the framework of the 29th round of the Saudi Professional League.

Despite its loss in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League against Al Ain Emirati with a score of 4-5 in total, Al Hilal managed to strengthen its lead in the Saudi League with a balance of 80 points, with a difference of 12 points from its closest competitor Al Nasr, after playing 28 matches.

With this victory, Al Hilal continued its consecutive winning streak in the league, where it achieved its 21st consecutive victory, making it the only team that has not suffered any defeat so far.

As for Al Fath team, it was unable to achieve the victory, and its balance froze at 40 points in the sixth place in the league standings.

Al Fath advanced in the match first thanks to a goal by Lucas Zelarayan in the 57th minute, but Al Hilal was able to equalize in the next minute thanks to a goal signed by Michael Delgado. Then, Ruben Neves succeeded in scoring the go-ahead goal for Al Hilal from a penalty kick in the 74th minute, and Ali Al Bulaihi enhanced the result by scoring a third goal in the 90+14 minute.

Regarding the formation, Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus relied on Sergej Savic in the center forward position, and excluded Saleh Al Shehri and Abdullah Al Hamdan to the substitutes’ bench, suggesting his lack of conviction in them.

The two teams exchanged pressures during the course of the match, where the second half witnessed strong attacks from Al Fath who tried to return in the result, but Al Hilal’s response was quick, as it was able to equalize just one minute after Al Fath’s goal, and soon coach Jesus introduced offensive changes in the formation to secure the victory.

In the end, Al Hilal remains at the top of the league with a large difference, confirming its superiority and stability in the first place, while Al Fath seeks to achieve better results in the upcoming matches.
