Sarri is happy with Lazio's attitude against Bologna

Maurizio Sarri was happy with his team's "attitude" because they always thought they could win against Bologna, even when things were going badly.

The Biancocelesti

had a terrible start. After only six minutes, goalkeeper

Luis Maximiano

was sent off for handling the ball outside the box.

Marko Arnautovic's penalty gave

Bologna

the lead, but an own goal by Lorenzo De Silvestri and a goal by

Ciro Immobile

turned the game around. Adama Soumaoro was also sent off, making things worse for Bologna. Sarri told Sky Sport Italia, "I liked the atmosphere at the Stadio Olimpico and how the team played."

"At first, it seemed like we were cursed because everything was going wrong for us, but we stayed in the game and even turned things around. That wasn't easy at all, especially since the first game of the season took place when it was 32-33 degrees, and we were down to 10 men for 90 minutes, including stoppages.

"I was glad to see that everyone was sure we could win at halftime."

Manuel Lazzari

looked in good shape and is finding his way to play the full-back position.

"When a player gets better, he deserves credit for it. He thought he couldn't play in a four-man defense, but as time went on, he saw that he could. Sarri was asked if he feels like this is more "his"

Lazio

in his second season, especially since there have been changes in the transfer market.

"At the end of last season, I was happy with the team, but we had to change because the average age of the team was too old. We needed to start a new era, so we brought in both older and younger players with experience.
