Erik Ten Hag denies ban on signing Ajax players

Erik ten Hag has confirmed there is no agreement between him and Ajax that will see him banned from signing any of his current players.

After it was revealed that the Dutchman will become United's next manager, they have been linked with a few Ajax players like Jurrien Timber, Sebastien Haller, and Antony and now Ten Hag says there is no agreement with

Ajax

to stop him from signing them.

Ten Hag told Voetbal International newspaper:

“No, there are no agreements about that. I now have very good players, but it’s not an issue at all.”

Ten Hag also has refused to discuss his plans for

Manchester United

and the future of

Cristiano Ronaldo

at Old Trafford.

“I am not yet involved with Manchester United. I’m working on Ajax,"

he continued.

"I’m used to that [the excitement of him taking over in Manchester]. Ajax is also a big club, but it’s not about the media, it’s about football. I now have to perform with Ajax.

“Those are questions for the future. We are in an important title race and an important week.

"I now want to focus my attention on that and not on Manchester United.”

Ten Hag has signed a three year contract with United and will Ralf Rangnick in the summer. Ten Hag will leave Ajax after five years.
