Modric: Chelsea the toughest opponent I've ever faced
Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has said Chelsea is his toughest opponent after his side progressed to the Champions League semi-finals.

“It’s an incredible night, a huge night. It tastes very sweet. We didn’t give up and we kept believing despite being 3-0 down, but we weren’t bad. They scored all their chances. Chelsea has been my toughest opponent.
“We kept fighting and believing that we could come back. Ancelotti made good changes and the subs changed the game.
“We are used to suffering, like in knockout games against Juventus, Bayern, Ajax. Today we’ve suffered but we’re through and that’s the most important thing. We gave everything out there and showed so much character.
“It’s a proud moment hearing the fans sing my name. Since day 1 I’ve always tried to give that love back with my performances on the pitch.”
Modric also spoke about their potential opponents in the next round.
“It’s a tough question. If you want to win the Champions League you have to beat the big teams but it’s more important that we’re there. Tomorrow, we can enjoy the game.”
