Rocco Commisso mad at Dusan Vlahovic

Fiorentina's president says that he is disappointed because of the criticisms.

Following

Dusan Vlahovic’s

departure,

Fiorentina’s

president

Rocco Commisso

has been facing criticism, and he has talked about the matter, insisting that he is disappointed by the people’s reaction because the player had an agreement with

Juventus

, and he would have left the club anyway.

“I am very disappointed by the criticism I’ve received, including words I cannot accept,”

Commisso said by phone in an audio clip released on the Fiorentina website

.

“I have to stop and reflect. I thought that I’d shown what my values are with my behavior and what all of us have done for Fiorentina. The nastiness and insults I received over the last few days are unacceptable.

“I am very let down and have to think carefully about the decisions I will have to make. The doctors told me in November I shouldn’t travel to Italy, as I was unwell, but I did it to give my contribution and help Dusan and his agents see reason. The last time I saw him, he didn’t even say hello.”

Another thing that Commisso has talked about is Vlahovic’s agent, saying that he asked for €4m per season at first and then raised the price to €8m.

“It was clear to everyone he already had a deal with someone. He said no to every offer. I went to England many times, each time he said no.

“Vlahovic wanted to remain until his contract ran down (in June 2023, ndr) and ruin Fiorentina. His agents wanted a 10 per cent cut of the transfer fee and exclusive rights to negotiate his next move. They wanted to make money off us, so selling him now was an excellent operation.”
