Barcelona eyeing Ajax's full-back Nicolás Tagliafico

According to a report carried out by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona has been connected with a deal for Ajax left-back Nico Tagliafico.

Napoli has also bid the 29-year-old, who is eager to move away from Holland. Ajax is also said to be willing to help with the transition.

Ajax's agreement with Tagliafico expires in the summer of 2023; thus, it stands to reason for the

Eredivisie

club to sell him now while they can still make a profit.

Alejandro Balde is rumored to be on his way to Ajax on loan to help the transaction go through.

Tagliafico, who was born and bred in Argentina, started his professional career at Banfield before joining Independiente in 2015.

Three years later, he moved to Europe to join Ajax, where he has remained there since, except for a loan spell with Real Murcia. For the Argentine national team, he has 36 caps.
