Former Rangers’ striker Jermain Defoe is still undecided about his next destination.

Jermain Defoe

, who scored 32 goals in his 74 appearances for

Rangers

, is now a free agent after leaving the club.

Sunderland, Ipswich Town, Charlton Athletic and Oxford United are all interested in signing the 39-year-old striker until the end of the season.

The Englishman played a key role in Rangers’ squad after Giovanni van Bronckhorst took over at Ibrox and replaced former coach Steven Gerrard.

Reflecting on Defoe’s time with Rangers, the club sporting director Ross Wilson told the

club's official website

:

"Jermain has made a significant contribution to Rangers over the last number of seasons.

"Even in the 'twilight years' of his career, he has shown the expert movement and finishing ability that took him to the very top in his career. His contribution within the training center was excellent, as he became a role model for his peers, showing professionalism on a daily basis."
