Sevilla boss Lopetegui confirmed: Jordan fit to play against Valencia
Julen Lopetegui, the manager of Sevilla, has declared Joan Jordan is ready for action again following the weekend's incident.
A plastic pole struck Jordan during Real Betis'
Copa del Reymatch against Sevilla. The match was temporarily halted until the next day due to the mishap, while Jordan was brought to the hospital and examined for a concussion and high blood pressure.
Jordan, fortunately, has rebounded from the incident and is totally fit for Wednesday night's match against Valencia.
"Jordan will be in the squad, then we will see if he plays or not," said Sevilla's Lopetegui in his pre-match news conference.
Sevilla goes to Mestalla, hoping to narrow the gap on toppers Real Madrid, who are presently five points ahead with a game in hand.
Los Nervionenses are undefeated in
LaLigafor six games, but they encounter a rigorous challenge against a quality Valencia team.
Jordan's comeback, who is a vital regular for Lopetegui, will be a significant relief before the trip to Spain's East Coast.
However, it will undoubtedly increase resentment on the opposite side of Seville, with Real Betis believing that Sevilla instructed Jordan to fake an injury in order to have the game postponed. Jordan was eventually diagnosed at a nearby hospital, indicating that the injuries were authentic.
