Rudi Voller rules out Bayer Leverkusen move for Draxler

The German midfielder has been linked with a move back to Bundesliga in recent weeks.

Julian Draxler

joined PSG as one of the finest young talents of the Bundesliga in 2017. Having completed a €42 million move to the French side, the German midfielder failed to live up to expectations at Parc des Princes and lost his place as a regular starter. The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in recent weeks, but the German club’s sporting director Rudi Voller has ruled out a potential transfer for the player.

Asked about his side’s interest in signing Draxler, the former Germany manager told Sky Sport: “He will not come,

“He was not a target for us either.”

With no other interested suitors, Draxler seems to be staying at PSG, where he is expected to serve as Marco Verratti’s backup in midfield.
