The Gunners about to sign Sheffield United’s goalkeeper

Arsenal is close to signing Sheffield United’s Aaron Ramsdale as their first goalkeeper.

The reports are suggesting that the

Gunners

are to signing

Sheffield United’s

goalkeeper,

Aaron Ramsdale

, who is expected to become Arsenal’s first choice in the goalkeeping position after the player experienced relegation in the last two seasons and became his side’s player of the year proving his potential and quality as a high-profile goalkeeper who has been a part of England’s national team squad in the Euro 2020.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper, who was named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Euro 2020 after Nick Pope’s injury, is set to join the north London side with a deal worth £24m initially, and £6m in add-ons are only likely to be triggered if Ramsdale becomes the Gunners first-choice stopper.

The young and talented goalkeeper had been expected to become the Gunners’ second choice behind

Bernd Leno

, but it has been reported that

Mikel Arteta

is very interested in the English goalkeeper and seems like he intends to pick Ramsdale over Leno as the first goalkeeper.

Ramsdale’s departure could be a bad thing and a good thing for the Blades at the same time as they lose a star but get the chance to make some impressive moves in the transfer market, so we have to wait and see their manager Slavisa Jokanovic what will do with the goalkeeper’s departure.
