Hoppe highlights USMNT’s squad for Nations League

Schalke’s striker, who has been linked with a move to Spurs, Barcelona, and Valencia, has been called up to Gregg Berhalter's squad for the first time.

The American striker has contributed 6 goals and 1 assist in his 21 Bundesliga appearances for Schalke and is likely to make his international debut for USMNT in their upcoming Nations League Final Four ties alongside Bayern’s 17-year-old prodigy, Justin Che.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic and Zack Steffen will be USMNT’s major absentees due to their participation in the upcoming Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea.

The U.S. will take on Honduras on June 3 and then potentially the winner of Mexico's clash with Costa Rica three days later.
