Leandro Cantamessa: ‘It all depends on Maresca’

AC Milan’s lawyer Leandro Cantamessa says Zlatan Ibrahimovic could play the next game if Maresca admits he misunderstood what he said.

The 39-year-old was involved in two goals during the first half of their 3-1 win over

Parma

before he was sent off for dissent on the hour mark.

According to reports,

Zlatan

could get away with a one-match ban, but the only possibility to cancel the red card would be an admission of error by

Fabio Maresca

.

“It all depends on what Maresca writes in his report,”

Milan's lawyer

Cantamessa

told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli

.

“If he had doubts on what he heard, he should write it, and the matter may have an unexpected and resounding twist.

“If the referee admits he was wrong, then Ibra could play the next game despite being shown a red card in the previous match.

“If it doesn't happen, he could even get a one or a two-match ban, but that would be so wrong.

“We can’t appeal if he receives a one-match ban,"

the lawyer continued

.

“There was a misunderstanding. There’s nothing more to add. I heard what Ibrahimovic said, and I don’t know what the referee heard, but I know Ibra didn’t insult him.”
