Cristante: “You can see that Mkhitaryan’s was a penalty”
Bryan Cristante insists VAR must have checked the Armenian international’s penalty request following Roma’s 2-1 defeat by Milan.
During the second half of the match between

Roma, each side had a controversial incident.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
went down in the box, but the referee saw a free-kick best for the Roma midfielder. As for Milan,
Rafael Leao
ran into the penalty area and fell down challenging Rick Karsdorp; the referee, however, said the game should go on.

You can see that ours was a penalty. I think we have VAR, they used it to view the Milan spot-kick, so they ought to go and see the footage every time
,”

Roma are sitting fifth on the

We know we started badly, there are no excuses, we tried to get it back on track, but we must try to start games more wide awake and concentrated,
” confessed Cristante.
“
We know that we’ve had bad performances against the big clubs, for example Lazio and Atalanta. We had managed to get this one back on track, but then we made a mistake and Milan took advantage.”
