“That's what we're aiming for, need to build on our home win”- Milicic

Ante Milicic, Macarthur’s head coach, is eager to build on his side’s first home victory in the A-League against Adelaide United to thrive to success this season.

In their fifth home game, Macarthur finally got their first victory but

Ante Milicic

insists that their Friday’s accomplishment is the foundation of what will the team continue to do.

Milicic’s side was defeated in two games and had drawn two before vanquishing

Adelaide United

with a thumping 4-0 result which saw them second on the

A-League

table.

"

That's what we're aiming for,

" Milicic said.

"

My job as a football coach is to play decent football but of course you have to pick up points along the way.

"We hadn't won here on four attempts so tonight we did, and the more that we're playing at home the better the results are and the more exposure the local community gets.

"It's a really good opportunity for them to come out and not only support their team in this region but to understand fully that the best teams from around the country at the highest level are coming to Campbelltown to play Macarthur.

"We need to build on this, we know it's not going to happen overnight but I can assure you that everyone in this football club is working hard to make this club successful."

Milicic was keen on showing off his squad after making changes that led them to a 2-0 win over Brisbane, finishing a hectic week of three matches in seven days.

Following his impressive display against the Roar and proving that he has potentials, the 19-year-old midfielder

Jake Hollman

was played from the start for the first time.

"

He grew into the game, but he's a really exciting dribbler in the front third so he'll build from that now that he's adjusting with playing with men,

" Milicic said.

"

He's growing and we're really pleased with his progress

.

"

He's a serious boy, he's a good professional and I think he's benefiting from the environment that the senior players have created at the club."
