“It becomes my problem if they sanction him” Koeman

Barcelona boss, Ronald Koeman has informed Gerard Pique about officials in the country supporting Real Madrid.

The Integrity Department of the Spanish FA’s Competition Committee are now reviewing comments from

Pique

that could put him in trouble.

At the beginning of this month, ex-Spain international,

Pique

interviewed with Post United, in which he insisted that officials would give Madrid more options if they had sympathies with the team.

The 34-year-old has been out with a long-term knee injury.

He could face punishment, like a ban of between four and 12 games,  from the Spanish FA with Diario Sport.

The Dutchman believes the comments were

“very little”

and

Pique

has

“enough experience”

to say what he wants.

“It becomes my problem if they sanction him because of those statements. He has enough experience to say what he wants. But you have to take care because, with very little, they can create a big problem. You have to criticise, but with respect so that they cannot punish you.”

Koeman announced at his pre-match press conference on Monday.
