West Ham United’s Strategy for the Next Season with Julen Lopetegui

West Ham United is seriously seeking to contract with Julen Lopetegui as a new coach for the team in the coming season. Rumors about the Spanish coach’s move to Italy have complicated, but the fans rejected this possibility due to their desire for the continuity of Stefano Pioli in coaching the team. Therefore, the London club began its attempts to obtain Lopetegui’s services.

For several months, West Ham has been negotiating with Lopetegui to take over the coaching responsibility after David Moyes, whose contract will end in June of the coming year. Despite Moyes’ success in improving the team’s performance since he took responsibility in 2019, as the team was able to rise from just surviving relegation to participating in European tournaments for three consecutive years, and achieving the title of the European Conference League for the first time in its history since 43 years ago, the fans demand more and call for a change in the defensive and offensive style of play.

Tensions escalated in recent months between the club and the coach, and an agreement was reached regarding Moyes’ departure in the summer and the appointment of a new coach as his replacement.

For his part, Lopetegui left Wolverhampton last summer due to a lack of investments in the team and financial problems, which resulted in the sale of key players such as Matheus Nunes. Although Lopetegui was scheduled to join Nottingham Forest, he decided to stay for a few more months in England in order to learn the language better and in search of a new opportunity in the Premier League.
