Barcelona presidential election date could be changed to February 28th

The president of the management board, Carles Tusquets, in charge of Barca for now, has set a meeting with all three presidential candidates for this Wednesday afternoon.

is answering the news that postal voting will be provided in the expected

Barcelona

presidential elections that should've taken place this 24 January only to be postponed because of the situation under covid-19 in Catalonia.

Tusquets

will talk with Joan Laporta, Victor Font, and Toni Freixa to consider setting the date of the election from the hitherto chosen date of March 7th to February 28th.

The delay of the elections paused Ronald Koeman‘s strategies to reinforce the team in the January transfer window. The Dutchman wanted to sign Eric Garcia for about €5m from Manchester City but can't given he has no president to sign off on the move.
