Gomez responds to disputable handball resolve

VAR check worked against the Liverpool defender during a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium, yet he hopes to escape from the fact.

Joe Gomez,

Liverpool

center-back has responded to the disputable Penalty decision on him during Liverpool's visit to Manchester City, with the Reds ready to disregard responsibility of the incidence. Jurgen Klopp's team started to proceed at the Etihad Stadium with a spot-kick of their own. However, City reestablished equality through Gabriel Jesus and created a brilliant occasion to edge in front in last moments of the first half.

Gomez stopped for handling inside the box, and VAR reviews resulted in the match officials turninig back their first decision. “I wouldn't dispute it hit my hand but at the end of the day, I'm running back towards goal and everyone knows the power De Bruyne can hit the ball with.

Gomez Said “It's just a natural motion for me to run. I haven't made an attempt to put my arm towards the ball, it's just happened that quick. “He added: “We had our chances. I suppose it probably is a fair reflection of the game in the end.”
