?Breaking news: El Clásico to take place on December 18

According to the Spanish Football Federation, the Competition Committee has confirmed that an agreement has been reached for El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid to take place on Wednesday, December 18.

The match was postponed from this coming weekend on October 26, following the recent disturbances in Catalonia.

There were many talks for the new date to be decided but now the RFEF have revealed that the game will take place on Wednesday, December 18.

However, it is not the end of the story, as LaLiga will now take that decision to court, as they want the match to take place on Saturday, December 7. This will is to reach a larger TV audience while December 18 date will overshadow that evening’s Copa Del Rey fixtures.

Overall, there will be nothing confirmed until LaLiga’s appeal will be decided about.
