Aston Villa

On 23 January 2007, Young reached an agreement with

for £8 million. At the time this was the highest rate Aston Villa ever paid any footballer. On 31 January 2007, Ashley debuted for the side and managed to aim the net for a goal over Newcastle United, however, it was a 3-1 loss for the side. Club 

Ashley started his professional career back in 2003 at the first division club Watford. In four seasons he established himself as a professional player and grew through the ranks.
