Sevilla

has been one Spain's best teams in the past two decades. Although they have not been able to taste glory in La Liga, they have made history by winning a record six Europa League titles. Sevilla's last and only La Liga title was won in 1954-55 but they have been one of the challengers in many of recent seasons.

Among Sevilla's other achievements in their history are: La Liga runners-up four times, four Segunda Division titles, five Copa del Rey titles and one Spanish Super cup.

Established in 1890, Sevilla is one of the oldest clubs in Spain. Throughout its history, many great players wore its jersey and dazzled in the pitch. From the likes of Guillermo Campanal who became one of Sevilla legends in the 50s to some recent stars like Dani Alvez, Davor Suker and Frederic Kanoute, Sevilla has always been home to many great Spanish and non-Spanish football stars.

Sevilla home ground is the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. Located in the neighborhood of Nervion, Seville, the Stadium owes its name to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, who was Sevilla FC's president for 17 years.

Sevilla ended the 2019-20

In this article we will briefly go through the career and stats of Best Sevilla FC Players of all Time. The list includes the likes of Dani Alvez, Davor Suker, Frederic Kanoute and Jesus Navas.

Andreas Palop

The first player in our list of the Best Sevilla FC Players of all Time is Andreas Palop, a former goalkeeper who spent the best years of his career at Sevilla.

Palop joined Sevilla in 2005 after impressing with

Valencia

and Villareal. He stayed at his beloved club for the next 8 seasons and won many trophies including 2 UEFA Europa League, one Europa Super League and two Copa del Rey titles.

Andreas Palop played a total of 295 games for Sevilla. One of the most interesting facts about his career spell with the team is that he scored a very memorable goal for the club. In the UEFA Cup round-of-16 game against Shakhtar Donetsk, Palop scored Sevilla's equalizer in the dying moments of extra time. Sevilla progressed to the next stage and eventually won the title.

One of his other memorable matches for Sevilla was against Espanyol in the final of the same Europa League season in which he saved three out of four penalties and single-handedly won the title for his team.

Dani Alves

 The famous Brazilian Right-back is the most decorated player in the history of football after winning 42 trophies in his ongoing career, five of which he won at Sevilla. Despite playing for six teams in his career, Dani always will always be remembered for his amazing spells at Sevilla and Barcelona.

Many football fans know Dani Alvez from his time at 

Barcelona

, where he built an amazing partnership with Leo Messi down the right flank and was a key player for Barcelona's all-conquering side from 2008 to 2012. But before his time at Barcelona, Alvez made a name for himself at Sevilla and became one of the Best Sevilla FC Players ever.

Davor Suker

Davor Suker is the third player in our list of the

. The legendary Croatian forward is best known for his amazing performances in the 1998 World Cup in which he helped his country into the third place and won the Golden Shoe award with 6 goals.

Suker was a Real Madrid player when he shone at the World Cup, but it was in Sevilla that he established himself as one of the best strikers of the football world. Suker joined Sevilla in 1991 after a successful three-year-sell at Dynamo Zagreb. He stayed at Sevilla for the next 5 seasons, scoring 90 goals in 177 games.

Although Suker was not able to win any trophy with Sevilla, he was named the Croatian Footballer of the Year three times during his spell with the club. He left Sevilla in 1996 and went on to play for Real Madrid,

Arsenal

and Munich 1860 before retiring in 2003.

Jose Antonio Reyes

, Jose Antonio Reyes started his career at Sevilla B before getting promoted to the first team in 2000. During his career, Reyes played for 9 clubs including two memorable spells with Sevilla.

Reyes played a total of 86 games and scored 21 goals in his first spell with Sevilla. He won the Segunda Division title in his first season with the club. Reyes left Sevilla for the first time in 2004 and joined Arsenal, where he became a key member of the famous Invincibles who are the only team ever to win the Premier League without a single defeat.

Reyes second spell with Sevilla started in 2012 and continued for the following four seasons. Reyes won many trophies and awards during this time including three back-to-back

UEFA Europa League

titles. Reyes died in a shocking car accident in 2019 but he will forever be remembered among the

Juan Arza

Juan Arza is without a doubt among the

since he is the second record-holder in the most goals scored and most games played categories. Azra is the second all-time Sevilla top scorer with an incredible record of 207 goals in 414 games. (Behind Companal who scored 218 goals in 403 games).

Arza also is the second player with most appearances for the club. (Behind

Jesus Navas

with 512 games). Arza joined Sevilla in 1943 and stayed for an unbelievable 16 seasons. He was one of the leaders of the Sevilla side who won the only La Liga title in the club's history. He won his first and only Pichichi award in the 1954-55 season after netting 29 times.

Arza became a manager after his retirement and coached his beloved team in a total of four seasons. He is considered by fans and critics as one of Sevilla FC Best Footballers of All Time.

Frederic Kanoute

Frederic Kanoute career story started in 1997 when he made his debut for

Lyon

. He scored 9 goals in 40 games in the three seasons he was at Lyon from 1997 to 2000. During this time he was used mainly as a substitute. Kanoute was loaned and later moved to West ham United. He also played for Tottenham but found it hard to impress at the Premier League.

Kanoute moved to Sevilla in 2005 and stayed for seven seasons. His spell with Sevilla was a huge success as he won a total of six titles, including two Copa del Rey and two Europa Leagues. His goal scoring stats won him the African Footballer of the Year award in 2007.

Kanoute is the only Muslim player in our list of Best Sevilla FC Players of all Time. He was a devoted Muslim and famously refused to wear the Sevilla shirt which had a gambling website on it as a sponsor. Overall, Kanoute scored 136 goals in 290 games for Sevilla across all competitions. he is the fourth top scorer in the history of Sevilla.

Jesus Navas

A product of Sevilla's youth academy, Jesus Navas has played most of his career at his boyhood club. Navas was promoted to Sevilla's first team in 2005 after impressing with the club's B team. In his first spell with the club, Navas played 285 games and scored 23 goals. He won a total of seven titles including the club's first two of a record six Europa League titles.

, Navas stayed for 13 seasons in his first spell with Sevilla. He then joined

Manchester City

to experience a new challenge. However, fate had different plans for Navas as he returned to Sevilla four years later.

Navas won another Europa League title in the 2019-20 season and became the club's all-time record holder for most appearances in the process.

Javi Navarro

The strong Central defender played most of his career at Valencia and Sevilla. Navarro joined Sevilla in 2001 and went on to become one of the

after winning four major trophies with the club.

Javi Navarro formed a strong partnership with Pablo Alfaro in the heart of Sevilla's defense line. He was one of the leaders of the club during its golden years at the first decade of the 21st century. The ending of his story at Sevilla had a bitter taste as he suffered a terrible knee injury in 2007 which kept him on sideline for the following two years.

Navarro retired from football altogether in 2009 after failing to get back to form. However, he returned to

one year later as a coach assistant.

Juan Araujo

One of the Greatest Players in the History of Sevilla FC, Juan Araujo first arrived at Sevilla in 1945. The Spanish lethal finisher stayed at Sevilla for a total of 11 seasons and was a key member of the team which won the only La Liga title in the club's history.

Overall, Juan Araujo scored 158 goals for Sevilla (139 goals in La Liga and 19 goals in

Copa del Rey

Guillermo Campanal

Born in 1912, Guillermo Campanal netted 218 times in more than 400 games for Sevilla and became the clubs all-time top goal scorer. Of all his goals 101 was scored in La Liga, 75 in Segunda Division and 42 in Copa del Rey. Campanal also played 3 games for Spain and scored 2 goals. he was a member of Spain national team in 1934 World Cup.

Easily one of the most Legendary Sevilla FC Players ever, Guillermo Campanal retired from football in 1946 and became a manager soon after. He managed his all-time club, Sevilla in three spells from 1949 to 1959. Campanal died in 1984 at the age of 71.
