Carlos Tevez early life

Now it’s time to read about

Carlos Tevez childhood

:

Carlos Tevez was born in Ciudadela, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the 5th of February 1984. He was raised in the Ejército de Los Andes neighborhood, better known as the Fuerte Apache.

It was from there that he received the El Apache nickname. During a dispute with his Junior Club All Boys and Boca Juniors, his parents transferred his nickname to his mother's.

Owing to an altercation with boiling water when he was just 10 months old, the striker suffered third-degree burns down his face, neck, and stomach. The scar was so bad that it left Tevez for about two months in intensive care.

And at a time when, at a very tender age, he played for his local club, he knew he needed to keep his wounds. Boca Juniors, the first soccer team he'd ever played for, later declined to get them cosmetically enhanced, almost to say that these scars are basically what distinguishes him as the man he is today and the guy he was back then.

His teeth, bent and crooked, were the result of a street fight during his youth. Apparently, when he was having a row over money, Tevez suffered from this.

Reception

As he returned to his beloved Boca Juniors on Sunday, Carlos Tevez got a rousing welcome, as questions linger about his prospects at Manchester City.

The 27-year-old striker, whose future is unknown at the Eastlands with the former West Ham and Manchester United players keen to attend his first club in Buenos Aires one day and be closer to his kin, thrilled Boca supporters as he kept a replica jersey revealing his name and squad number, 32.

And his appearance at the Bombonera, where he won an award for his contribution to the club for whom he spent three years, inspired Boca to victory a 1-0 win over Newell's Old Boys rivals as Martin Palermo, a foreign teammate, celebrated a second-half winner, atoning for his previous penalty miss.

While the Argentine club declined to mask their intention to welcome Tevez back on a permanent basis, the visit of the City captain was not assumed to be moved to the top of his agenda ahead of the Copa America this summer, linked to clear-the-air talks with national boss Sergio Batista.

Last week, Tevez refused a mega-money move to Italian giants Juventus, giving City hope that he would play a central role in their maiden season of the Champions League and help them mount an attack next season on the Barclays Premier League trophy.

But Tevez, who has been playing in England for almost six years, is in his homeland to speak to his family about his future, which he is desperate to be closer to, particularly to his two young daughters.
