Pep Guardiola has praised Arsenal
Manchester City were able to win the Premier League.
With three weeks left in the Premier League,
Manchester City's title became guaranteed following Arsenal's defeat to Nottingham Forest. However, they managed to defeat Chelsea 1-0 at home in their game and celebrate their championship in the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola, who has won the Premier League title five times in the past six seasons, has praised Arsenal:
“We pushed Arsenal but they are exceptional. They should be proud of where they have come from. They have to sustain it, that is the reality, but for me they are winners.
“They made me think a lot what I had to do to beat them, and they did it to us. Our relentlessness and not giving up, and having the feeling that we had to win otherwise it would not be possible, helped us a lot."
Manchester City will try to win the treble by playing in the final of the FA Cup against Manchester United and the final of the Champions League against Inter.
Man City are the second team to win the Premier League for three consecutive seasons after Manchester United.
