Sergio Busquetshas determined his position on renewing his contract with the Catalan team during the coming period.
The veteran Busquets' contract with the Catalan club will expire at the end of the current season in 2022-2023.
According to the newspaper "AS," Busquets told Barcelona players of his intention to agree to the renewal offer.
Barcelona earlier made an offer to renew Sergio Busquets' contract for one season while reducing his annual salary.
Busquets is a close friend of coach Xavi, and the latter has been working in recent days to keep the veteran player at Camp Nou.
Xavi wants Busquets to continue and this has been shown by relying on him mainly in all the important matches for the Catalan team this season.
It is noteworthy that Sergio Busquets participated in 37 matches in all competitions with Barcelona this season and scored three goals.
