Terzic demands Bellingham lead by example against Chelsea
Jude Bellingham is one of the most coveted youngsters in Europe and Edin Terzic wants him to show what he is worth against Chelsea.
Borussia Dortmund has a tough test against Chelsea in the last 16 round of the Champions League. The BVB won the first round 1-0 at home but were very lucky to get the win as goalkeeper Kobel was made to register a record-breaking amount of saves to keep a clean sheet.
Dortmund boss Edin Terzic now has called upon his star player Jude Bellingham to lead by example in their trip to Stamford Bridge.
coach Terzic said at Monday's pre-match press conference:
"Everyone knows his potential. He also had the opportunity to choose the Premier League when he came to us.
"But he chose Dortmund. He helps us and we help him. We're happy to have him with us, he's a leader of ours. We need a good performance from him."
is Dortmund’s best goalscorer in the Champions League this season, having scored against the likes of Manchester City as well. However, Dortmund will be without their goalscorer from the first leg as Adeyemi is out injured. BVB are also on a 10-match winning streak which has seen them on top of the Bundesliga.
"I don't think the form will decide tomorrow. It's a knockout game. We have a narrow lead,"
"We are warned enough, we know what quality they have.
"We all know that sometimes 2-0 is not enough to go through. In the first leg, Chelsea didn't get the result they deserved, they caught us off guard a couple of times but didn't score.
"Then it becomes very dangerous. They showed that [in the Premier League] against Tottenham, against Leeds [United] and Southampton. It's going to be a brutally difficult task for us."
