“It’s my dream” – Chelsea legend Terry reveals his ‘long-term ambition

The former England international has set his sights on becoming the Blues' head coach in the long run.

Former

Chelsea

midfielder

John Terry

has stated that becoming the club's manager is his ambition. Terry was a member of Chelsea's senior squad for 19 years after graduating from the club's youth program.

He has returned to

Stamford Bridge

as a coaching consultant, although he aims to advance to the post of head coach in the future years. "Yeah, it's my fantasy," says the narrator "When asked if he wants to be the Blues' manager, Terry told Stadium Astro that he does not. "Obviously, you want to play on the first team when you're a child." As a coach, I've changed my perspective.

"Of course, the long-term desire and goal is to manage Chelsea. It's a little strange to imply that because someone is employed, and listen, we're still talking 10, 15 years down the road. "However, I must have an end objective, and that is it." It's a fantasy of mine. It is hoped that this occurs. I'm in the midst of doing that, but there are a lot of things that have to go smoothly in the interim.
