Wrexham's Hollywood Revolution in English Football

League One Bound: Wrexham's Quest for Premier League Glory

After achieving consecutive promotions, the Red Dragons now find themselves in English football's third tier for the first time in two decades. This rapid rise has been guided by Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, chronicled in the Welcome to Wrexham documentary series.

Looking ahead, Reynolds and McElhenney are determined to mount another top-six challenge in the upcoming 2024-25 season, openly expressing their ambition to reach the Premier League at the earliest opportunity. However, the competition toughens in League One, where Wrexham will face former top-flight teams such as Birmingham, Bolton, Barnsley, Blackpool, Charlton, Huddersfield, Reading, and Wigan.

Manager Barnett is undaunted by these challenges, stating to The Leader, "There are big teams and impressive stadiums awaiting us, but we'll approach every game focused solely on securing three points, a philosophy instilled in us by the manager."

As Wrexham awaits the release of their 2024-25 EFL fixture list on June 26, manager Phil Parkinson plans to reinforce the squad during the summer transfer window and undertake a second North American tour, following a recent team trip to Las Vegas.
