Bayern Munich continued to play with an extra player in the final minutes of yesterday's 4-1 win. Niklas Sule came on to replace

, who had already left the pitch, leaving 12 players on the pitch at one point. Bayern played with an extra player for about 20 seconds and Hamann believes that the Bavarians should be penalized for this mistake.

"It's a violation of the rules. 

"If one goes onto the field, another has to go down. It doesn't matter whether they play 20 seconds, twelve or five minutes.

"There is no question in my mind that it must be punished."

According to DFB rules, if a team has one more player on the field, the result will be 2-0 in favor of the opponent, unless the referee stops the game and restarts it from before the extra player is present.
