Barca's struggles go on as they also need to address Araujo's contract

's future ambitions, but his agreement problem has to be resolved. The 22-year-old's contract expires in 2023, so he just has a season and a half left on his present agreement.
The Catalans are rumored to be looking for new defenders, but they may need to look closer to their own squad first.
In terms of the contract, Araujo wishes to feel like an important component of the Barcelona defense, as per
Diario AS.
And, considering that Blaugrana is not in a situation to dole out big bonuses, they may have to negotiate with Araujo for a better deal before investing money on other center-backs.
Failure to do so may make convincing Araujo that he is appreciated more difficult.
The 22-year-old is thought to want to stay, but it's evident that the
LaLigaclub has some work to do if one of their most gifted defenders is to remain in their squad.
