AC Milan should act in advance to offer Theo Hernandez a contract extension two years before his deal expires in 2024 according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 24-year-old left-back impressed during France’s run to the UEFA Nations League glory as he scored a goal and provided an assist in two games against

Belgium

and

Spain

.

His current deal at San Siro ends in June 2024, but his performances for club and country have attracted interest from many European giants.

As a result, according to

La Gazzetta dello Sport

,

Milan

must raise the Frenchman's pay to avoid problems in the near future.

According to the report, Hernandez’s transfer value is now in the region of €50m. The Rossoneri signed him from

Real Madrid

in a €21m deal in 2019.

Gigio Donnarumma

and

Hakan Calhanoglu

left San Siro last summer as free agents.

In order to avoid facing the same scenario with Theo, the club board must now start talks over a contract extension.
