Harry Kane will remain at Tottenham this season

The England international has confirmed that he will continue playing for Tottenham in the 2021-22 season.

There has been many speculations surrounding

Harry Kane

and

Tottenham

this summer as the 28-year-old planned to leave the club, with

Manchester City

emerging as a possible destination.

However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy announced that he does not plan to cash in on the striker.

Kane, who featured for his side during their Premier League opener against Wolves on Sunday, has clarified the situation.

The captain himself has confirmed that he will be staying at Spurs for the next campaign, taking it to social media and twitting:

“It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I've had in the last few weeks.

“I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success.”

The England international, who has three years left on his contract, missed the opening week of the season after coming back late for the pre-season training as he was quarantined at The Lodge, Spurs’ training ground.

He worked on his fitness and rejoined training last week and made a 15 minutes appearance when Spurs locked horns with Wolves in their 1-0 victory on Sunday.
