Juventus Eyes Nice Midfielder Thuram Amid Transfer Battle

Italian Giants Compete with Real Madrid for Khephren Thuram

According to Sky Italia, Juventus is keen on signing Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, who is valued at around £12-15 million (€15-18m/$16-19m). With the Serie A team looking to bolster their midfield, the 23-year-old, who is under contract until 2025, has emerged as a prime target. Tuttosport reports that

Real Madrid

has also been offered Thuram, but it remains unclear if he is on their radar as a potential replacement for Toni Kroos.

The report highlights that Juventus is not only targeting Thuram but also closing in on signing Douglas Luiz while attempting to retain Adrien Rabiot. Thuram, standing at 6ft 4in, has been impressive for Nice since joining in 2019, but a move to Juventus would represent a significant step up for the one-time France international.

Thuram's potential move to Juventus would be a return to familiar territory for his family. His father, Lillian Thuram, played 204 times for Juventus between 2001-06, winning two Serie A titles and one Supercoppa Italiana. If Khephren joins Juventus, he could face his older brother Marcus, who plays as a striker for Inter.

With 167 appearances and nine goals for Nice, Khephren Thuram will be monitoring developments regarding his future in the coming days and weeks. He is due to return for pre-season training soon, which may provide further clarity on his next move.
