Paris Saint-Germain to spoil Barcelona’s Wijnaldum deal

Currently a free agent after failing to renew his contract with Liverpool, the Dutch midfielder has been strongly linked with a reunion with his former Netherlands manager, Ronald Koeman, at Barcelona.

In addition to Blaugrana, many clubs across Europe have been monitoring the Reds’ 2019 Champions League hero as the Catalan giants might have a hard task to compete financially with the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.

According to

ESPN’s

journalist, Samuel Marsden, PSG are ready to step up their endeavors to try to hijack Barcelona’s primary target as they are in a stronger position to offer a higher salary compared to the Catalans.

However, it is unlikely a final decision on the Dutchman's future be made until after Euro 2020, where the Netherland kick-start their campaign against Ukraine on June 13.
