Davis is not considering retirement as an option

"I’m enjoying my football" said the 36-year-old Rangers midfielder who does not count retirement as an option in his career life.

Steven Davis

does not see himself finishing his career life at the end of this season.

The 36-year-old's contract with

Rangers

expires at the end of the season but he wants to accompany the Gers in a return to the Champions League competitions.

He expressed his desire to get Rangers qualified for this competition after 11 years and said:

“Reaching the Champions League would be massive for everybody and the players are no different. It’s the stage you want to play on and to get another taste of that at my age would be very nice.

“I don’t tend to look too far ahead. I feel good at the minute and as you can clearly see I’m enjoying my football. How could you not with the season we’ve had so far?

“So I don’t see myself finishing up at the end of the season.”

Rangers only need 4 more points to be established as the champions of this League, and

Gerrard

is not willing to talk about any new contract with the club until the 4-point is not gained.

Davis is also in no rush about setting a new contract and claims that his focus is "on the football" now.
