responds to Laporta's billboard
Font says that billboards can not win the election.
The heat has been increased between the two rivals of
Barcelona's presidential position,
Joan Laporta
and
Victor Font
.
on a billboard that Laporta has set close to Bernabeu, he has written a smart message referring to the period he led Blaugrana into ascendancy as its president.
as a response to this billboard, "looking forward to seeing you again", Font comes up with the idea that real problems now require real solutions and he is best fitted to solve the real problems.
He also says:
“Jan, you are the master! However, banners will not win a Champions League, nor solve the club’s debt, nor build a new stadium. Therefore, we can contrast our projects. See you on 24 January!”
Served as an MP in the parliament of Catalonia, Laporta has never feared or avoided controversy said or shown by rivals.
He was the club's president for 7 years. Failed to win the election in 2015 and now has intended to get back to his previous position.
To fill the president's unoccupied position, candidates must get at least 2,257 member's approval and add a guaranteed payment of at least €124.2m.
