Moreover, the 52-year-old's wife was a nurse as she not only taught local kids but also helped starving children to recover during her stint as a teacher. Later, she came up with children book, which kind of managed to gather attention from around the world, including Klopp.

Ulla wrote her two books

in Kenya's Nairobi. The story is about an 11-year-old boy from Mainz, who finds a magic football in the attic, which turns him into an amazing footballer.

The German-born author says her first book, 'Elli and Pit,' is all about her love of teaching children and her second book, 'Tom and The Magic of Football.'

Ulla said, “It combines interest of her teaching and her husband's profession, i.e., football (soccer) which kind of won her husband's heart with her literary talents.”

Known as a children's novelist, her book Tom and the Magic Football was published in 2008.

She also wrote a sequel to the book in 2010, set in Africa.

Klopp was full of praise for his wife's literary talents: "It's like Harry Potter but about football. There’s no flying on his f…… stick."

Ms Sandrock was more graceful. She told reporters that the book illustrated the "fascination of football" and "the longing for a distant hero world".

The couple both have children from previous marriages. Jurgen has a sons named Marc Klopp, a defender who played for Dortmund who retired early due to injuries. Her mother, Sabine got divorced in 2001.

In 2015, the Klopps moved into the Formby mansion formerly lived in by Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard and have since become popular figures in the village and are occasionally spotted in local pubs and restaurants.

Although the family typically keep a low profile, they live in Sefton and maintain strong community links in the area.

Sandrock Worked as a Waitress

Before tying her knots with one of the best former German soccer players, and now a legendary coach for English club Liverpool, the 51-year-old also admits she worked as a waitress.

We all know those days, where we have to find day jobs to earn bread so we can work on our passion. Ulla Sandrock was no different.

Although Ulla had become a children psychologist, she had to work as a waitress in a restaurant since she got divorced, and she had to raise her son as a single mom.

Klopps Love Story

Ulla and Jurgen met in 2005 when Klopp and Mainz's players came to Oktoberfest. Klopp fell in love at first glance and they started living together three days later.

Klopp's wife immediately embraced her husband's interests; after falling in love with Jurgen, she fell in love with football and even wrote a few football-themed books as mentioned above.

The couple are said to have a strong marriage despite coping with one of the biggest rumors ever to hit German football.

Klopp, who was as famous in his homeland as Chancellor Angela Merkel, was accused of having an affair with a married woman when he was manager at his previous club, Borussia Dortmund.

Later, the situation got worse so much so that he had to address the issue at a press conference when it was suggested the reason he was going to quit was over infidelity in marriage.

“They told me that the rumors are going around in Dortmund that I would leave the club because I’m being kicked out at home and have a relationship with a player’s wife,” the outspoken manager stated.

“Phew. Frankly, I’m confronted relatively rarely with rumors in my life that interest me. This one I want to address.”

“Ulla and I have a happy, incredibly harmonious relationship.”

Talking about his wife of ten years, he said, “I still love Ulla wholeheartedly.”

Klopps Charity Work

According to reporters, Ulla gave 20 separate £50 vouchers to those on the shop floor while walking into Waitrose in Formby.

It should also be noted that the story didn't come from the Klopp family themselves, or even the club. It emerged from the local community within Formby who were keen that such an act of kindness was recognized.

A spokesman for the store told reporters, "Our Formby team is incredibly grateful for the support and understanding shown by everyone who has visited our store, but we would always respect the privacy of our customers."

Fans were amazed by the kind gesture, with many taking to social media to praise the Liverpool manager’s wife.

One of the Liverpool fans said, “Just like her husband - a class act.”

Another said, “I wouldn’t of known who she was and probably the staff didn’t so she wasn’t looking for any recognition.

“A nice thing to do in what is a tough time for us all, especially our key workers. I hoped they enjoyed their vouchers- well deserved.”

Klopps Children

The couple, Ulla Sandrock and Jurgen Klopp, don't share any kids of their own; however, Klopp shares a son with his previous wife, Sabine.

The couple who married on December 5, 2005, invited son, Marc Klopp, during their wedding ceremony, and Ulla now shares a very understanding relationship with him.

By the time Ulla and Klopp walked down the aisle, Marc was 23 years old and was also a football player at Dortmund but later quit it because of series of injuries that followed.

Sandrock has a heart of gold

When Liverpool were beaten in the Champions League final in Kyiv, Loris Karius's girlfriend Sophia Thomalla was sitting at the stands. Watching Karius' howlers, she burst into tears and it was Sandrock who came to sooth her.

Klopp insisted goalkeeper Karius to deal with his calamitous night in the 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

The German goalkeeper was at fault for Real’s opener, rolling the ball out with Karim Benzema standing too close to him and allowing the France international to divert it into the net, and he then let Gareth Bale’s long-range drive slip through his grasp.

In between those, there was an equalizer for Sadio Mane before Bale put Madrid ahead again with a brilliant overhead kick.

Liverpool’s misery was compounded with the loss of top scorer Mohamed Salah midway through the first half with a shoulder injury, putting his World Cup in doubt.

Although Klopp said the loss of Salah shocked his players, it was Karius who was mainly under the spotlight.

“I have only had very few words (with Karius) after the game but there’s nothing to talk about in the moment,” said the Reds boss.

“It’s really hard for him. Nobody wants that.”

“The mistakes were obvious. We don’t have to talk about them. He knows it, I know it, you all know it.

“Now he has to deal with it, we have to deal with it. We will be with him, no doubt about that.”

Karius wasn't the only one moved to tears inside the stadium, as a result of the German's unfortunate errors.

Both Karius' mother and his girlfriend held each other and sobbed while the game was still being played.

Klopp's wife Sandrock, who was sitting a few rows behind Karius' mother and girlfriend, spotted them holding each other in tears.

Ulla responded by leaving her seat and wandering down towards the pair to offer her support and attempt to console them.

Klopp's first words after the final whistle in the Champions League final in Madrid were, "We've done it Ulla!"

Sandrock urged Klopp not to take over Manchester United

Klopp's wife is a huge fan of the Reds. She was on the street to greet the Reds when Liverpool brought home the European Cup.

Moreover, it was Sandrock who urged Klopp not to take over

while he was still at Borussia Dortmund.

The German boss ended up joining the Reds and he is supposed to bring a first-ever Premier League trophy to Anfield.

Ex-Liverpool defender Phil Thompson has revealed the part Klopp’s wife Ulla Sandrock played.

"I asked if he and Liverpool were created for each other. He looked at me and asked 'Why?'

"Then Klopp told me he could have taken over Manchester United, but his wife said it wasn't right.

"When Liverpool arrived, his wife said it was right. There is something strange there. It is as if he's created for Liverpool."

He added: "In my time we always lost three to four games [at this stage of the season], but this team leads by nine points and lost only one game last season.

"This season they have beaten everyone, except for a draw at Old Trafford. They are doing something great,"

Klopp’s joining Liverpool was like the moment he met his wife

Klopp has compared joining Liverpool to the moment he first met his wife Sandrock.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss moved to Anfield in October 2015, taking over from the recently departed Brendan Rodgers.

Klopp enjoyed tremendous success on Merseyside since then and now

is now on the brink of winning the Premier League title with Liverpool.

Klopp has developed a wonderful rapport with the club's supporters during his four and a half year leadership.

The 52-year-old says the thrill of taking charge at Anfield was similar to when he first met his second wife Ulla.

"There was a lot of interest, I had to make a holiday first," Klopp told reporters about his move to Liverpool.

"I heard from my agent that Liverpool is interested and I felt immediately 'oh god', it's like when I met my wife - I saw her and thought okay I marry her and it was like that with the club. It felt right from the first moment.

"I liked England before I lived here because when I was 18-years-old I was here for five or six weeks by train, interrail. My cousin wanted to come (to England), we were just bed and breakfast, had a tent, from time to time we were on a camping ground.

"The weather was unfortunately really sh*t though. We did not use the tent too often because it was that wet, but bed and breakfast I loved.

"It was such a wonderful thing, so you had contact with people you usually don't have.

"You travel through a country, you meet all kinds of generations, some elderly people who were always really nice so that time I thought one day I want to live for a while in England."

Klopps Net Worth

As a brand ambassador for New Balance, the company that manufactures Liverpool's kits, and having sponsorship deals with German beer Warsteiner, car manufacturers Opel, electronics giants Philips, and TV network Sky Deutschland, Klopp has been speculated to have a net worth of $50 million.
