On 28 June 2012, the defender moved to Barcelona for €14 million, making his debut on 19 August against Real Sociedad. , the retired Spanish footballer. Born in Benidorm, Alicante, Valencian Community, Amor was one of the Barcelona team's most influential players. The product of FC Barcelona's youth academy, Guillermo Amor made his senior debut in the 1988–89 season under Johan Cruyff.

In the 1993–94 season, the midfielder appeared in all games except one, scoring eight goals, a career-best record. Amor helped the Catalans win five La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey titles, Supercopa de Espana on four occasions, one European Cup, two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups, as well as two UEFA Super Cups during his 10-year spell at the Catalans.

On 14 August 2002, Valdes, who was the product of FC Barcelona's youth team, made his debut for the club's senior side in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League against Legia Warszawa. During the 2003-04 season, he became the club's first-choice goalkeeper, and in the following season, Valdes kicked the ball in almost all of Barcelona's fixtures.

He spent 12 seasons with the club, helping them win seven La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey titles, Supercopa de Espana on six occasions, three UEFA Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cups, as well as two FIFA Club World Cups.

In January 2016, he left the Catalans to join

The midfielder was promoted to the B team two years later, kicking the ball under Pep Guardiola. On 13 September 2008, he made his senior debut for the Catalans against Racing Santander. Xavi spent 17 seasons with the Spanish club, winning eight La Liga titles, Copa del Rey title on three occasions, six Supercopa de Espana titles, UEFA Champions League titles four times, two UEFA Super Cups, and two FIFA Club World Cups.

During the 767 appearances that he made for the Catalans, the midfielder scored 85 goals and provided 185 assists for his teammates.
