James Philip Milner (born 4 January 1986) is a great footballer who plays for Liverpool's Premier League club. At a young age, Milner's talents in rugby, cricket, and long-distance running were recognised. Born in Wortley, Leeds, Milner played football for Westbrook Lane Primary School in Horsforth for much of his youth. He was educated at Horsforth School later on.

Rawdon coach Graeme Coulson recognized the potential of Milner and encouraged him to play for Rawdon in many competitions, including the Rawdon Meadows competition, where Milner scored four goals in their final win.

James Milner career

Milner's Leeds first-team debut came on November 10th, 2002, in a match against

, when for the final six minutes he came on as a replacement for Jason Wilcox. At the age of 16 years and 309 days, this appearance made him the second-youngest player ever to feature in the Premier League.

He became the youngest player to score in the Premier League on 26 December 2002, at 16 years and 356 days, with a goal in a 2-1 victory over Sunderland. His record was surpassed in 2005 by Everton's James Vaughan.

A month later, Milner scored again in a match against Chelsea, with a first touch of the ball and maneuver, in order to dodge a challenge by Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly, which earned widespread pundits' acclaim. Newcastle United

On their pre-season tour of Asia, Milner made his first appearance for Newcastle United, scoring his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw against Kitchee, in Hong Kong.
