Andrea Conti

In one of

AC Milan's winter 2022 latest transfers and news

, Italian right-back Andrea Conti has departed Milan to join Sampdoria. Sampdoria signed a free transfer deal with Conti until 2025. In 2002, Conti started his football career at Atalanta academy. He played alongside players like Mattia Caldara and Roberto Gagliardini. Before playing for the senior team of Atlanta, Conti made his professional debut in the Lega Pro competition for Perugia.

Atalanta loaned him out to Perugia for a season. Right after his return from Perugia, he was loaned to Virtus Lanciano. After making 24 caps in Serie B for Lanciano, it was time for Conti to make his Serie A debut. In his first season with Atalanta, he had 14 Serie A appearances. The 2016-17 season was Conti's prime season, during which he had 33 appearances and scored 8 goals. His brilliant form resulted in him signing up for Milan in July 2017.

The deal had a reported fee of €24 million, plus Matteo Pessina joining Bergamo side. The move to Milan was doomed because Conti hardly was available for Rossoneri and missed most of the first season due to a knee injury. 2019-20 was Conti's best season in Milan. After

Stefano Pioli

replaced

Marco Giampaolo

, he was given the chance to reclaim his spot. The crucial playing didn't last until the end of the season and his injured knee stopped him from playing in the last month of Serie A. Last year's January, Conti left Milan on a loan to Parma. Followed by Parma's relegation, the 27 years old returned to Milan.

In

AC Milan’s January transfer window of 2022

, the club signed Serbian talent, Marko Lazetic from Red Star. The 18 years old is a product of Red Star Academy. He made his debut in Serbian SuperLiga while he was only 16 years old. Red Star loaned Lazetic to second tier Serbian club Graficar Beograd. The promising center forward scored 4 goals in 14 Serbian First League appearances. At the end of the 2020-21 season, he returned to Belgrade. Lazetic was included in the Red Star squad for the 2021-22 season and before the January transfer window, he played in 14 league games.

Marko's cousin Nikola Lazetic is a former Torino, Lazio, and Genoa winger. Before Milan's involvement, Torino was linked with a move for Marko. The 192 cm forward has strong physical attributes combined with a nose for goals. Despite his young age, Lazetic has made his Europa League and Champions League Qualification debut as a Red Star player. Manager Dejan Stankovic played a big role in Marko's improvement and in Milan, he will continue learning from Rossoneri's well-known forwards

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

and Olivier Giroud.
