Two London derbies, tough draw for Liverpool - Carabao Cup QF draw

The draw for the Carabao Cup quarter-finals has taken place, revealing exciting games for the next round.

Liverpool will face Leicester City in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, with the former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers returning to Anfield to secure a semi-final spot for the Foxes.

Rodgers' side defeated Liverpool 3-1 last season, but the Reds’

recent form

is not comparable to their bad run of the last campaign.

Chelsea will look forward to meeting Brentford in the round’s first London derby. The Premier League leaders defeated the Bees 1-0 earlier this month, with Chelsea goalkeeper Benjamin Mendy pulling off an incredible performance for the Blues.

Tottenham will meet West Ham in another must-watch game of the round. The in-form Hammers have already

eliminated

Manchester United and Manchester City in their impressive run to the quarter-finals. Having beaten Tottenham 1-0 on Sunday, David Moyes’ side hope to continue the tournament by winning another London derby.

Arsenal are set to take on Sunderland in the next round, with the Gunners having the easiest draw on paper. Arteta's side have rediscovered their form lately, climbing their way up to fifth place on the Premier League table. Given his situation at the club, the Spanish coach will not give up on the title without a fight.

The quarter-final games are scheduled to be played in the week commencing December 20, with the next round taking place in the new year.
