Real Madrid ready to raid Chelsea with Reece James and Havertz in mind

Real Madrid are reportedly contemplating a dual acquisition of Reece James and Kai Havertz from Chelsea during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Real Madrid is reportedly planning for their recruitment strategies for the 2023-24 season and they have set their sights on two Chelsea players, Reece James and

Kai Havertz

. In addition to Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, the Spanish club is keen on signing a right-back to challenge Dani Carvajal and another creative midfielder.

Real Madrid is reportedly interested in signing Chelsea's ace full back Reece James in the upcoming summer transfer window, as they look to add competition for Dani Carvajal. James is believed to be on a list of defensive targets, which includes other players such as Joao Cancelo and Juan Foyth. Real Madrid has a history of being able to entice Chelsea into deals with enticing offers, having previously signed Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.

AS suggests that

Real Madrid

is willing to start discussions for Reece James with Chelsea this summer, as the Premier League side needs to sell players to balance their expenses. Although James recently signed a new contract until 2028, Real Madrid's potential big-money offer could entice Chelsea to consider a transfer.

Real Madrid are reportedly still interested in signing German forward Kai Havertz, whom they were targeting when he moved from Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea in 2020. The 23-year-old is seen as a potential long-term addition for the reigning La Liga and Champions League champions.
