Reiten's goal gives the Blues advantage over defending champions Lyon

Following a 1-0 win in the first leg of their Women's Champions League quarter-final match, Chelsea currently hold an advantage over Lyon.

In the Women's Champions League quarter-final match against defending champions Lyon,

Guro Reiten

scored the goal that secured Chelsea the advantage.

After 28 minutes of play in France, Guro Reiten curled the ball into the net to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead over Lyon. This result puts the Blues in a favorable position heading into the second leg of the quarter-final tie, which will take place in London.

During the first half of the match, Lyon had several chances to score but failed to convert them. However,

Chelsea

's Lauren James had an opportunity to increase her team's lead when she hit the post.

In the second half, Delphine Cascarino from Lyon hit the woodwork in a similar manner as Lauren James did for Chelsea in the first half. With Lyon now needing a comeback in the second leg, their hopes of defending their title in the Women's Champions League hang in the balance.
