Erik ten Hag may be considering using Jadon Sancho as a number 10 more frequently
Since his recent return from a lengthy injury, Sancho has been deployed in different positions on the pitch for Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag expressed admiration for
Jadon Sancho's performance in the number 10 position during Manchester United's goalless draw against Southampton. The former Borussia Dortmund player, who recently returned from an injury, has played in various positions since his comeback.
He said:
''I think he did quite well as a number 10. Like he did against Barcelona and Leicester. He was really decisive against Leicester and also today with some really good actions.
"One time, he was really close to the goal with a run at the defending line and a cross to Bruno almost came there. He did a good job.
"I think he can [be a game changer], I think he can make the difference when we play three against two in the midfield. And that is not bad when you have Casemiro and Bruno and you have Jadon Sancho.''
Sancho may feature in a central position when Manchester United takes on Real Betis in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash on Thursday.
