Tottenham players have asked Pochettino to return to the Spurs

A few months after leading Tottenham to the Champions League final in 2019, the Argentine coach was sacked from the club. Now amid uncertainty about Antonio Conte's future at the club, several players have contacted Pochettino asking him for a return to the club.

In addition to their Champions League exit against Milan on Wednesday, Tottenham was eliminated from FA Cup by Sheffield United and their poor Premier League form has grown speculations over Conte's future.

The Athletic reported earlier that the club's chairman Daniel Levy has tasked the Spurs' director to produce a list of potential replacements for the Italian coach. Roberto De Zerbi, Luis Enrique, Thomas Tuchel, and Marco Silva are all rumored to replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham.

, several Spurs players have contacted their former boss Mauricio Pochettino and asked him to return to the north London outfit.

Pochettino signed a five-year contract with the Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and became the head coach of the English side in 2014. The first season of Pochettino at the club in the domestic league was successful. Spurs finished their first season with their new manager in fifth place. Pochettino provided an opportunity for Harry Kane and placed the young footballer as the starting striker at the expense of Spanish international Roberto Soldado.
