Garnacho seals Manchester United a 2-1 victory at Fulham

Manchester United traveled to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Sunday in their final game of the season before the winter World Cup as Erik ten Hag’s men were eager to respond after a bitter 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa last week.

Christian Eriksen opened the scoresheet for

Manchester United

in the 14th minute as the visitors scored from a quick counterattack in a game that

Fulham

arguably had the better first half. The former Man United winger, Daniel James scored the equalizer for Fulham in the 61st minute with a clinical finish from the six-yard box.

Although hosts thought they achieved a well-fought point from their final Premier League game before the World Cup,

Alejandro Ganacho

proved everyone otherwise as he brilliantly finished

Christian Eriksen

's through-ball in the 93rd minute.

With the 2-1 away victory over Fulham, United stays fifth with 26 points while Fulham sits ninth with 7 points less than their Sunday rivals. Man United's first game back after the break is an EFL Cup tie with Burnley while Fulham will face Crystal Palace in their first match after Qatar World Cup.
