Marsch told Leeds not to ‘be phased by the negativity in the stadium’

Following a thrilling 4-3 victory at home ground, Leeds manager Jesse Marsch reveals what he told his players at half time.

The atmosphere at Elland Road wasn’t a happy one as Leeds United went into the half time 2-1 down from their opponents

Bournemouth

. It got even worse as they went 3-1 down early on the second half only to come back and remarkably win 4-3 at home.

Leeds

’ second consecutive win after the one from last week at Anfield takes them to the 12th place on the table and reduces the pressure Marsch’s men were on a couple of weeks ago.

"The fans have the right to opinion and emotion. We all do. The sport requires that. My focus is entirely on making sure the group is strong,"

Marsch told BBC Sport.

"At half-time I said to them not to be phased by the negativity in the stadium and stay focused on the tactical aspect of what we are trying to bring, get into the game more and more and we will win. We did that."

This was Leeds’ first comeback from a two-goal deficit since 2000, which will boost the morale with no doubt as they head into the Carabao Cup game against

Wolves

on Wednesday.
