Zinchenko close to return to fields - Arteta confirmed

The Ukrainian star has been away from the field due to injury in recent weeks, but he seems to have found the conditions to play.

Mikel Arteta claimed that Oleksandr Zinchenko is close to playing condition and is expected to return to the field soon.

The Ukrainian star has been absent from Arsenal's games since picking up an injury against Tottenham in early October. He played 6 games for his team this season, and Arteta's condition announced that his return to the field is close.

Arteta said:

"I think he is quite close [to returning]. He's getting better and better and he is progressing really well. He had a setback on that injury that he had at the start of the season which is a shame, but knowing Oleks he will be back very soon."

Asked about a possible return for the weekend game, Arteta said:

"I can't tell you. [Smiling] He's always in contention."

The Spanish coach also confirmed that Bocayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, who have been out injured in recent days, will be available for Arsenal's next game. Arsenal are trying to get their 10th win of the season and cement their place at the top of the table. They will face Southampton in the next match and next week they will face PSV again.
